Harmony Art's eco-fabrics
Back in April and May, I talked about the eco-DIY movement and how to get involved. If you don't remember these posts or you have just joined us recently, make sure to check them out: Eco-DIY 01, Eco-DIY 02, Eco-DIY 03. What better way to save money and get creative at the same time? If you are planning on making your own seat covers, bags, clothing, or drapes, then you are likely to be on the hunt for a planet-friendly fabric - HarmonyArt has you covered (literally).Still a young business (under three years old), founder and creative director Harmony had been working in the graphic design business for awhile. "The journey is still unfolding. It always will be. The love and support, the magic that unfolds when we pause long enough to notice it...keeps me inspired, amazed, dumbfounded, and excited about each new day and each new challenge... for it is in these moments that we truly live. The journey is indeed the prize."
All of the print and solid fabrics HarmonyArt has available are made from organic cotton or denim. A collection of their current designs can be see on their website ("in full bloom"), as well as designs in the works ("planted seeds"). Loving their fabrics but not blessed with the crafty gene? Don't worry - check out the products page where you will find a list of companies that use their prints.
