Ecoist Candy Wrapper Bags

Candy is bad for you. Until now.

Green retailer Re:modern just introduced a new line of handbags, totes, purses, and coin pouches designed by Marisa Rey of shoe design fame. Manufacturered by Miami-based ecoist, these stylish bags are made from recycled candy and food wrappers. They resemble Basura Bags, which have been around for awhile. Yet unlike Basura , the ecoist version is made from pre-consumer misprints so the production is more consistent and the finished bags don't smell like food. We especially like that ecoist partners with Trees for the Future, so that a tree is planted for every bag purchased.

Each bag comes with a contrasting zipper and/or detatchable handle. We just want to eat them up. Get it here, starting at $18.
