I mean that if you're trying to spend your dollars ethically it can seem like there is no hope ounravelingng the strings of big business. How are you supposed to know if a corporate conglomerate has recently bought out your favorite independent label? How can you tell if your money is being used to fund sweatshops? Can you even find products without someone's name stamped all over them? And above all, will you have to spend twice as much for half the design if you do find a brand that fits with your conscience?
